Philippine Review Centers Expansion Programs

Since there is a large demand of nurses all around the world.  Nursing review centers are everywhere throughout the Philippines.  Some established review centers tend to branch out to different parts of the country just to accommodate the demand of service.  One good example is RA Gapuz Review Center. They have review centers located in Manila, Baguio, Dagupan, Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, Cabanatuan, Ilo-ilo and Dasmarinas Cavite.  Another would be Merge Review Center which is located in Manila and has expanded to Baguio and all the way to General Santos.  Carl Balita Review Center on the other hand is planning to have a different strategy on expanding its services. It is through online review.

With these branches made available to some parts of the Philippines, BSN graduates who lives in those distant areas benefit the most.  But the question to ponder is, are they providing the same quality of service they are providing in their main review site?   We sure hope so.

nursing in-house review vs. other review centers

In-house review is offered by a college or university wherein at the end of a four-year course, senior students may opt to attend (or to some required) the in-house review in order to gauge the theoretical entry-level competency before facing the actual nursing board exam.  Schools tend to gauge the readiness of their students by having their own review program with evaluation exams and PRE-board examination.

To Attend, or Not?

Students usually have second thoughts in attending their in-house review program(if it is not mandatory).  There are several reasons why they opt not to attend. One is that in-house reviews are sometimes conducted on the last semester of their senior year and students are on the process of completing all cases, passing the last semestral subects and applying for the nurse licensure examination all at the same time.  Another reason is that, some students tend to join other friends in reviewing outside their own schools.  This is a new environment that makes them more inclined to review.  The effectiveness of advertising and boastful percentage passing of outside review centers make a student enroll to them rather than spending money to their in-house review.

Conclusion:

Students tend to enroll to outside review centers rather than attending their in-house review with their own personal reasons.  The effectiveness of the review centers serve as tough competition for a school’s in-house review program.
